In 2012, I am offering new and enhanced private tour experiences in Spain. My experience in the past has helped me a lot to develope better tours with ingredients that make them more fun, enriching, and always combining excellence together with a sense of local knowledge, emotion and seamless experiences.

May it be a culinary experience, a cultural approach to a specific region, or just a relaxing sightseeing trip, my trips count with my best trusted private guides in every aspect, from local connossieurs in art and history, experts in gastronomy, to some well-known names here and there. As a local and Spanish native, my main concern is to provide an experience where guests can enjoy all what Spain has to offer and at the same time feel the local touch, realize that they are in Spain, by combining unexplored places with must-see spots.

My most demanded tours are for Andalucia, Southern Spain, but I´ve noticed an increase of interest on other known regions like Rioja, Basque country or Barcelona area. However, I encourage clients to taste new off-the-beaten-path parts of Spain like Extremadura, Galicia, or the Cantabria-Asturias regions. and why not, combine it with Portugal regions like the lovely Valle del Douro, Alentejo or Algarve.

Priego de Córdoba, lujos sencillos en Andalucía

A veces no es necesario buscar exclusivos resorts, restaurantes con estrella o afamados destinos para disfrutar de un lujo más auténtico y cercano, que se aprecia en los detalles y en el servicio. Andalucía ofrece pequeños secretos que coinciden con este tipo de viajes y destinos que, sin dejar de ser sorprendentes, esconden los pequeños detalles y un lujo alternativo digno de mención.

Priego de Córdoba, en la provincia del mismo nombre, es un buen ejemplo de todo ello. Pueblo pequeño y acogedor, en el centro de Andalucía, bien conectado con las principales ciudades, y con bastantes recursos para no dejar de sorprender a visitantes locales y extranjeros que busquen escapadas para desconectar, buena gastronomía y alojamientos correctos y con buen servicio. Di buena fe de todo ello en mi reciente visita, donde pude comprobar el buen trato, la atmósfera de tranquilidad y la calurosa acogida de sus habitantes con los visitantes que eligen Priego como destino.

Destaco su restauración, con restaurantes que no esperas encontrar y una gastronomía magnífica. Alojamientos acogedores, en un entorno tranquilo y agradable, ya sea dentro o fuera de su conocido casco antiguo, con un barrio de la Villa y una fuente del Rey que no deben dejar de visitarse. Y por supuesto, su aceite, oro líquido que alcanza una de sus máximas expresiones en Priego, y que destaca precisamente por este producto. Una cata de aceites es condición indispensable para redondear la visita a uno de los pueblos si bien conocidos, aún por descubrir en muchas de sus facetas, todas ellas sorprendentes.

Morning breakfast in the hotel.
