Lisbon – A getaway around the Portuguese Charm

Day 1

Arrival to Lisbon international airport, personal welcome and private transfer to the Four Seasons Hotel in Rua Rodrigo da Fonseca.
Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon began life as an idea in the mind of António de Oliveira Salazar in 1952. Salazar expressed his desire to build a representational hotel to meet the demands of international tourism following the Second World War – a hotel of which Lisbon, and Portugal, could be proud.
The personality of the hotel today is as profoundly acute as that born in the minds of its creators. Despite undergoing two full-scale renovations since its inauguration in 1959, the preservation of the hotel’s original spirit is ensured by Queiroz Pereira’s son and daughter, Pedro Mendonça de Queiroz Pereira and Mrs. Maude Lagos.

Welcome drink and check-in to your Junior Suite.
The private entrance leads to a large, furnished alcove off the bedroom offering a comfortable seating area. Decorated in an Imperial style with dominance of red and beige colours, their size (791 sq. feet/ 73.5 m2) makes them the ideal choice for long stays. They all have a separate dressing area and are furnished with a large executive working desk. All of them have their own private terrace (99 sq. feet/ 9.2 m2). The bathrooms are very generous in size and appointed with beautiful black marble. HI FI with CD/DVD player.

Enjoy a well deserved re-energizing massage for two at the Four Seasons Spa rooms before exploring the city…

In the afternoon, start discovering Lisbon with your private guide. The hotel is next to the famous Avenida Liberdade, one of the main city avenues. Start your walk here and continue to the heart of historical Lisbon, with the large esplanades and plazas like Praça Dom Pedro IV (Rossio) or down to Praça do Comercio. Go up the Elevador de Santa Justa in Rua do Ouro for a skyline view of the city, explore Chiado and Bairro Alto neighbourhoods or enjoy a ride on the traditional city tram up to San Jorge´s Castle.

Return to hotel and relax in your Jr Suite while you get ready for a highly suggested gastronomic experience at Tavares Rico, an excellent Portuguese restaurant with traditional cuisine within an emblematic atmosphere.

Nightlife in Lisbon is fantastic, so we guide you to the exclusive by-invitation-only Silk Club for a drink in style and to dance the night away

Day 2

Morning breakfast in your hotel … and why not some exercise on the unique outdoor running track on top of the hotel building?

Your private transfer and guide awaits to take you to Cascais and Estoril, where you´ll be able to enjoy the Portuguese coast at its best. Lunch in Porto Santa Maria is strongly recommended, a traditional seafood restaurant overlooking the sea and mountains.
On the way back to Lisbon, your guide will not miss the chance to show you one of the most amazing views over the city, the impressive Cristo-Rei in the Almada neighbourhood. Resembling the famous landmark in Rio, it gives you a breath-taking sensation worth experiencing as you have the city, the bridge and river at your feet.
Late afternoon at your leisure to enjoy the hotel facilities, the pool, or do some local shopping in the nearby malls.

In the evening, discover the sounds of pure Portuguese music at Clube de Fado, one of the best Fado restaurants in town. The melancholic tunes of this typical Portuguese music and the cozy atmosphere is a must for anyone willing to know more about the culture of this country.

Day 3

Morning breakfast in the hotel.
Sunday mornings deserve a relaxed activity, so your private guide will take you to the riverside by the Belem district, and while tasting some delicious Belem cakes, you can stroll by the river and enjoy the arquitecture and history of the Jeronimos Monastery.

Back to city center, lunch is booked at your hotel in the Varanda restaurant. Lunch features a buffet renowned for its variety. The culinary team, led by French Chef Pascal Meynard with the support of Miguel Vieira, a young chef with already a Michelin award, bring their vast experience from their work at Michelin star restaurants to the table at Varanda.

Your private transfer will take you back to your departure point and wave goodbye with a gift, until the next time!
